Future Learning Solutions - Centre for Languages in partnership with The Japan Foundation offers places for New Zealand teachers of primary levels Y1-8 to attend this three-and-a-half-day professional development programme held at The Japan Foundation's Language Centre in Sydney.
Participants can expect to to develop language skills and build confidence by working in an immersive Japanese environment.
You will explore and share teaching ideas, strategies and resources and build new networks.

There is no fee for the seminar, and NZ Domestic flights and international flights from Auckland to Sydney return, as well as accommodation in Sydney will be arranged and paid for by Future Learning Solutions - Centre for Languages.

The hands-on experience from activity development, intensive language immersion, including testing and analysis of our own language, networking with Australian teachers, learning their curriculum as well as how and what they teach in the classroom, up to date knowledge of what is happening in Japan, the latest vocabulary, technology, and websites to use in the classroom will all benefit my students immensely. The three and half day Sydney Intensive Seminar hosted by Japan Foundation was an amazing opportunity and lived up to its name “intensive”.
The majority of our time there was speaking, listening and writing in all things Japanese.For myself and the other attendees, this seminar has made a definite impact on our pedagogy and has helped to consolidate and extend our language knowledge, boost our proficiency and confidence in our teaching.
